How to Respond to the

Cultural Craziness of Our Day

“Furthermore, since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, He gave them up to a depraved mind to do what ought not to be done. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed, and depravity” (Romans 1:28 & 29).

It is not hard to recognize the depravity of our culture. Whether we are forced to accept and celebrate deviant sexual behavior or subject our children to “educational grooming.” Hence, they reject their God-given identity. Or, we are required to support women killing their babies up to a full-term pregnancy. Christians are labeled terrorists, and the truth they share is called “hate speech.”

There is NO DOUBT we are headed to certain destruction IF we remain silent in this hour.

Dietrich Bonhoeffer (the pastor who stood in opposition to Adolf Hitler and the foolish Christians who were deceived by his murderous intentions) famously said:

“Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.”

What are we to do? Speak with BOLDNESS. Plead the cause of the helpless, and give voice to the voiceless.

If you are afraid, you are alone! Even the first-century church was, but they responded with a prayer that changed everything.

“Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to your servants, that with all boldness they may speak your word. Stretch out your hand with healing power; may miraculous signs and wonders be done through the name of your holy servant Jesus” (Acts 4:29 & 30).

Today, friend, pray that simple prayer and keep praying it daily. The result?

“After this prayer, the meeting place shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Then they preached the word of God with boldness” (Acts 4:31).

Can you imagine what we would become if we prayed this simple prayer? Oh the bright and shining church would rise, and those held in bondage to their sin would be delivered and set free in Christ.

An unshakable, unstoppable faith would ensue !
